Nonetheless, travellers are still advised to stay alert and exercise vigilance when out and about.

The best time to visit Jamaica is from November to mid-December when the weather is pleasant and the island isn't too crowded. January to March is also a great time, but it's peak season, so expect higher prices and more tourists.
